I’m still ready to retire on the island of Corsica. Oh, what a beautiful day I had yesterday! All it involved was lying on a pristine, soft sandy beach and swimming in the refreshing Mediterranean Sea, but that’s all I really need to be content. It was truly a gorgeous day…enough said!
I’ve started reading “Buddhism Without Beliefs” and the following is a passage that caught my attention:
We do not receive wisdom, we must discover it for ourselves, after a journey through the wilderness, which no one else can make for us, which no one can spare us, for our wisdom is the point of view from which we come at last to regard the world.
– Marcel Proust

It seems you've found a quote that, in a way, sums up your experiences so far Fungo.
I like this quote because if you replace the word "wisdom" with other words such as enlightenment, pride, etc. it still makes sense.

I MISS YOU!
Rich Chiarlucci called. He wants to know if you still have the buffet he sold you. He wants to buy it back so it can be returned to the original owner. Evidently he has worked on cruises with Tommy Dorsey Band. Glad to see your becoming an introspective thinker!
